# Usage and plan limits

Open **Settings then Usage** on the web dashboard to see activity for your organization. Owners and admins can use this page.

## Monthly allowances

The allowance cards show the included allowance, consumed amount, reserved amount, and remaining amount for the current Stripe subscription period. Metered plan limits include:

* Outgoing SMS segments
* Outgoing MMS messages
* Call minutes, with inbound and outbound combined
* Recording and transcription minutes
* AI credits

A long SMS message can use more than one segment. Reserved usage represents work that has been accepted but has not yet finalized. It is counted when ShineCRM decides whether enough allowance remains.

SMS, outgoing MMS, calling, recording and transcription, and AI allowances are hard limits. There are no automatic overage charges. Each outgoing MMS counts as one message, even with multiple attachments. If a limit reaches zero, the related outgoing action pauses until the current Stripe subscription period renews. A confirmed plan change updates the current period without erasing usage already consumed or reserved. If a lower allowance is below that usage, remaining capacity stays at zero instead of becoming negative.

Credits used by completed AI work vary with its metered size, model, and duration, so longer or more complex work can consume more credits.

## Other activity

The Usage page also reports quantities such as inbound texts, inbound picture messages, calls, talk time, email, and AI requests. Incoming MMS remains available, is tracked separately from the outgoing allowance, and its media counts toward file storage. These operational counts can be broader than the allowance lines used for enforcement.

## Plan capacity

Plan limits also apply to contacts, users, and file storage. Free and Keep Your Number allow up to 1,000 contacts, 3 users, and 1 GB storage. Paid self-serve plans include unlimited contacts and users, with storage based on the selected plan.

## Frequently asked

**Is this my invoice?**
No. Usage explains quantities and remaining allowances. Paid subscription invoices and payment methods are managed under Settings then Organization.

**When do allowances reset?**
When the current Stripe subscription period renews. Its exact start and end dates are shown on the Usage page. Confirmed plan changes safely rebase that period, while scheduled downgrades take effect at their Stripe billing boundary.

**Who can see usage?**
Owners and admins. Usage is not shown to technicians.
